1)Grand Canyon  (Arizona,USA):

The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the Arizona(USA).The Grand Canyon is 277 miles (446 km) long, up to 18 miles (29 km) wide and attains a depth of over a mile (1.83 km) (6000 feet).It is largely contained within the Grand Canyon National Park which is one of the first National Parks in the United States.The Grand Canyon is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, averaging over four million visitors per year.

2)Great Barrier Reef  (Australia) :




The Great Barrier Reef is the world’s largest Reef system.The reef is located in the Coral Sea off the coast of  Queensland in north-east Australia.It is composed of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over 2,600 kilometres (1,600 mi) over an area of approximately 344,400 square kilometres (133,000 sq mi).Tourism is an important economic activity for the region, generating A$ 1 billion per year.It is larger than the Great Wall of China and the only living thing on earth visible from space.

3)Aurora Borealis or Northen Lights :

An aurora is a natural light display in the sky, particularly in the polar regions, caused by the collision of charged particles directed by the Earth’s magnetic field.It is also referred to as a polar aurora or, collectively, as polar lights.In northern latitudes, the effect is known as the aurora borealis (or the northern lights), named after the Roman Goddess of dawn, Aurora, and the  Greek name for the north wind,  Boreas, by Pierre Gassendi in 1621.The best time for viewing  Aurora Borealis seems to be in late autumn and winter/early spring in the arctic regions like the Yukon, Manitoba or Alaska.Between autumn equinox and spring equinox (21 September – 21 March),  and you have maximum chances of spotting the lights between 6 pm and 1 am.

4)Mount Everest :

Mount Everest, or Mount Chomolungma, is the world’s highest mountain above  sea level at 8,848 metres (29,029 ft). It is located in the Himalayas on the Nepal (Sagarmatha Zone)-China(Tibet) border.The first people to scale this peak were Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. They managed to achieve this feat on May 29, 1953.Erik Weihenmayer, an American ,holds the record of being the first blind person to climb Mount Everest  on May 25, 2001.

5)Niagara Falls  :

The Niagara Falls are voluminous waterfalls on the Niagara River.The Falls extend over the  international border between the  Canadian Province of  Ontario and the US States of New York.Niagara Falls consist of two major parts which are separated by Goat Island.One part is called Horseshoe Falls that is on the Canadian side of the border.Second part is called American Falls which is on American side.Niagara Falls attract around 12 million visitors per year.

6)Harbor of Rio de Janeiro :

Rio de Janeiro Harbour is located on the south-western shore of Guanabara Bay, which is surrounded by the city of Rio along a strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains: Sugar Loaf Mt, Corcovado Peak, and the hills of Tijuca.The population of the city of Rio de Janeiro, occupying an area of 1,182.3 square kilometres (456.5 sq mi),  is about 6,100,000.  The population of the greater metropolitan area is estimated at 11–13.5 million.The best times to explore the Harbor of Rio de Janeiro are during the months of September and October.The geology of this amazing place is admired by people who said: “God made the world in six days and on the seventh, he concentrated on Rio”.

7)Yellowstone National Park  (Wyoming) :



Yellowstone was the first national park in the world.It is located in Wyoming(USA).It also extends into Montana and Idaho.Yellowstone National Park covers an area of 3,468 square miles (8,980 km2) and it comprises of lakes, canyons, rivers and  mountain ranges.The park is world’s largest calderas with over 10,000 thermal features and more than 300 geysers. It has one of the world’s largest petrifiied forests. It has over 290 waterfalls with the 308′ Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River.Yellowstone attracts a lots of visitors because of its numerous recreational opportunities, including  hiking, camping, boating, fishing and sightseeing.Last year was another record breaking year with 3,640,904 visitors breaking the previous record in 2009 of 3,295,187.

8)Amazon River and Rain Forest  (Brazil) :



The Amazon Rainforest is also known as Amazonia or Amazon Jungle.It covers most of the  Amazon Basin of South America. This basin encompasses 7 million square kilometers , of which five and a half million square kilometers   are covered by the rainforest.Except Brazil it is also contained within Peru Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador,  Bolivia,  Guyana,  Suriname and French Guiana.About 20% of earth’s oxygen is produced by the Amazon rainforest so It has been described as the “Lungs of our Planet”,Because its vegetation continuously recycles carbon dioxide into oxygen.
Amazon River  of South America is the secong longest river in the world. It expands over the area of  7,050,000 square kilometres (2,720,000 sq mi) and accounts for approximately one-fifth of the world’s total river flow. The width of the Amazon varies between 1.6 and 10 kilometres  at low stage, but it expands during the wet season to 48 kilometres  or more.

9)Antarctica :




It is the fifth-largest continent in area after  Asia , Africa , Northern American and South America.It covers the total area of 14.0 million km2 (5.4 million sq mi) out of which 280,000 km2 (100,000 sq mi) is Ice free and 13,720,000 km2 (5,300,000 sq mi) is covered with Ice.No permanent human residents are there, but  from 1,000 to 5,000 people reside  at the research stations scattered across the continent throughout the year.Only cold adapted plants and animals can survive there which includes Penguins,seals,nematodes,mites and many types of algae.The average temperature on Antarctic continent is -49 degree celsius.

10)Paricutin Volcano :



Paricutin is situated about 200 miles west of Mexico City, in the state of Michoacán, Mexico.The Paricutin eruption took place between february 1943 and february 1952.The worst of Paricutin’s volcanic activity, took place in 1943, with its lava rising to about 50 feet below the crater’s rim.The Paricutin volcano now stands at exactly 1,345 feet above the ground and 9,210 feet above sea level.The type of eruption which happened at Paricutin is called a Strombolian eruption, which means it gushed basaltic lava, and exploded from a single vent.
